Instead of just presenting information, many in the media -- by choice of words in stories, titles on headlines--- attempt to manipulate the voting public's feelings about a particular issue, political candidate, or party. When this happens power is taken away from the people and seized by elites. The health of a democracy is endangered. Propaganda is used for power. A free and fair discussion of principles and ideas is shut down. Perception of reality is skewed.

NBC edits SNL skit that is critical of Democrats
Here's an interesting article about how an Saturday Night Live skit that parodied Democrat corruption got taken down, then edited. It is interesting to note what was edited out.
